I was practicing exercises in the Master Course and realized that I have the ability to listen to others. I am 84 years old. I had given up on being able to serve others because of my weak legs and back, but I know now I can still do it if I only listen. I happen to know that there was a group supporting cancer patients to live cheerfully, and although I am a cancer patient myself, I resonated with the idea that talking to each other could brighten our spirits. I decided to join the group because I thought I might be able to help in some small way. I am going to work on it with the hope that my life is still worth living if I can help others. - Teruko M.
