Hi Harry,

I had the opportunity to do an Introductory Mini- Course at a Unity Church here in Florida on the Saturday before the International Avatar Course began.

25 members of the church showed up. 8 other masters came from miles away to help out. Still there were too many people without Masters when it came time for the Transparent Belief exercise. Masters from around the U.S. were put "on call" and we put them on cell phones to work the exercise on the phone.

It was neat to see the power of the Sangha, the family. As a result three board members came to the course. One is already signed up for the Masters Course and another went home to get his wife, so she begins the ReSurfacing Course tomorrow.

All three students are talking about how to get every member of the church to take the course. Powerful Stuff!! I'm happy to be part of it! Thanks!

A mammoth weight dissolved

My experience began on a horse farm in Clarksburg, Maryland, situated on a rise overlooking distant mountains and catching some chilly April winds. It belonged to one of my fellow students in this small class of five. Our teachers, Ron and Linda, took us through simple introductory exercises. The pace was exceedingly relaxed, except for my impatience to get into “the good stuff.” We learned about the mechanics of consciousness conceptually, and then walked the grounds to exercise our new-found knowledge experientially.
The word Avatar means, according to the Hindu religion, “a deity who voluntarily assumes physical form to participate in creation.” Pretty heady stuff. The Avatar Course is a series of techniques created by a guy named Harry Palmer, the most unassuming and humorous writer about higher consciousness I’ve ever encountered. Very refreshing—no talk of astral bodies, joining with the Divine, salvation, nor a call to find this world lacking and leave it behind through inner escapism. Harry has discovered key aspects about the mechanics of consciousness and teaches it through the course, allowing one to “create the reality you prefer,” in his words. I’d read his stuff for years, and it had always had a real solid feel to it. So I finally took the course.
We learned how to create new beliefs and shed old beliefs that might work against what we want (this is why affirmations alone often don’t work—underlying, conflicting beliefs persist at a deeper level and counteract the new belief.)
About day 3 of the course a mammoth weight dissolved that I’d been carrying around for a very long time. What were its psychological contents and mythic roots?
I don’t know. It was gone. That’s what mattered. And, that’s the beauty of Avatar—one need not analyze and understand every thread of a tangle to undo the knots.
That night, I came home to my family a different man.
And, from that week I spent absorbing the Avatar techniques, I gained a set of tools that I use daily. They really do the trick for clearing my thinking, attuning my awareness, and creating what I want. Good stuff.

A solid road to walk on!

Coming home from Wizards after 2 weeks of "looking inward", to be honest, was a bit scary. I was afraid because I figured out through my studies that I was indeed living a dual life back home. One part of me was still attached to the past, the life of dysfunctional relationships and addictions. The other part of me wants to live deliberately and create a life filled with joy and happiness. Each day that I spent looking inward, I found some missing piece to the puzzle. I am happy to report, I was able to turn myself around, let the past go and move forward on my path to enlightenment.

Still, coming home, I felt the draw to go back to the "old" dual life once more. This time however, I feel secure in myself and am able to detach from the past. In order to keep moving forward I have to show-up and take responsibility. I have to surrender to my higher power and Let Go and Let God.

I am guided now by the light and the compassion I have for life. I thank my wonderful husband for all his support, Harry Palmer for his incredible materials and praise God that I have found a solid road to walk on.

A way to access the spirit

I had a conscious realization every time I did anything in Avatar that the results were always much more than I expected or anticipated. I never was disappointed, it wasn't even part of this question how great it was, and it was always big. And Wizards has proven to be the same pattern.
For us now the Sikh lifestyle and the yoga meditation are very much aligned with the Avatar, it's all a way to access the spirit and it's a way to access your source, and it's a way to deeply experience. It's all very experiential; the yoga is very experiential, the Sikh practice is very experiential, so it's no misalignment with the Avatar at all.

All his beautiful creation

The last exercise made clear the correct order for my life. 1.) God first with all his beautiful creation. 2.) Love next with my children hugging and feeling loved. 3.) Third was what was around me. My work that I love, my friends and family that love me and support me, the cities, mountains, rivers, animals, the jungle and then the earth- so beautiful that we are blessed without any doubt by God.

I learned that I can act instead of react; that I can create instead of follow others. That I was beautiful, am beautiful and will be beautiful.

Compassion...so much to say about it. But I will be more or totally aware of it from now on.

My Masters are great- no judgement, only guide and support and LOVE.

This is a beautiful world and we can make it a more beautiful world!

All part of each other

Summary of my Initiation, Section III

I was amazed how the past week has taught me to drop into my feelings and discreate beliefs/creations I've had for so long. When the initiation process was over I felt overwhelmed by the realization that my identity had completely altered. I had awakened to my true identity as awareness and source. I briefly felt both nostalgic and relieved at all the creations I'd "lost". But as I walked out I felt like I was walking among Gods. When I interact with others, I am source interacting with source. We are all part of each other as God. And the world/nature is our magical picture show.

Amazed and delighted

Thank you for the sea of Avatar kindness. I have been amazed and delighted to experience an expansion of my awareness to the sphere of awareness itself.
My experience of the wonderful people that I’ve met here, Avatars, Masters, Wizards and Star’s Edge Trainers, has been the most convincingly real group experience of my life.
I have been a sincere Buddhist yogi practitioner for approximately 30 years. I had many profound experiences through the practice of Dzog-Chen, but Avatar has given me more in nine days than
I have seen most people get from many years of today’s Buddhist practices. I know Lord Buddha would do The Avatar Course and recommend it most highly.

Avatar is finding Heaven in yourself

Dear Harry,

Now I understand. It wasn't actually that hard. To live is just to feel my feelings without resistances and to allow people to feel their own feelings. So that is why they say to accept your children's feelings and tell them " I understand that is what you feel and I have empathy."

When I felt my own anger and regrets fully, and understood and loved myself without resistance, anger or regrets toward other people disappeared. Amazing! I felt like the world got clearer or the world showed itself to me. That was a good, happy alive feeling. The world, objects, flowers, trees and people felt more distinctive and alive. It is fun and amazing. As if I cleaned up a dirty lens in front of me. More alive.

If I were to inspire someone to The Master Course I would like to tell people this: Jesus said that "Heaven is in you" but I have heard that is not really a correct translation. I have heard that in Hebrew it is more like " the Heaven is between you." Heaven also can be found in myself, but ultimately it is between us. If Heaven is only in myself, Jesus wouldn't have had disciples and Buddha wouldn't have taught people. And I must say Avatar is finding Heaven in yourself and Masters is finding Heaven between people.

Conversations/Practice with God

It's so great to be on the other side of the bar and observe the transformational power of the Avatar Course. Of course, experiencing it myself was awesome, but I have really been blown away by the materials' ability to really change a person's life for the better.
Thanks Harry, Conversations with God was the theory that I needed, and Avatar is the Practice. The idea I have of me flows unconditional love to the idea I have of you.

Gentle invitation to Feel

A friend invited me to go to an afternoon Intro to Avatar in Halifax on a snowy Saturday afternoon in March. I was interested enough to sign up for a Sunday session with a small group for 2 1/2 hours. I had been studying and practicing Buddhism for the last four years and really enjoyed what I was learning.

I couldn't resist coming to the nine day course in Montreal two weeks later. I was hopeful that this course would enhance my practice by a lot. I had (of course) no idea what I was going to encounter. I was so thankful for your work, your dedication and your ability to put this material into this format. It seems so available. It seems to gently invite one to feel.

Today is day nine. I feel so light and joyful. I considered myself an optomistic person before this course. Now, I feel like I can freely give of myself to all the people in my life. What a wonderful gift to me and to all who I share it with. I will be going to Masters. Thank You Harry.
